Zartaj Gul's name removed from PCL
Report stated that there is no ban on her from going abroad and obtaining new passport
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zartaj Gul's name was removed from the Passport Control List (PCL).
Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of IHC heard the request to remove the name of PTI leader and Member of National Assembly Zartaj Gul from PCL while her lawyer Advocate Osama Tariq appeared in the court. The Immigration and Passport Department submitted the report to the court.
The report stated that Zartaj Gul's name was removed from the passport control list. There is no ban on her from going abroad and obtaining a new passport, the court is requested to dispose of this petition.
Later, the Islamabad High Court removed the name of PTI leader Zartaj from the PCL and dismissed the petition.
It is pertinent to note that Zartaj Gul's name was included in the PCL due to the Dera Ghazi Khan case at the request of the Punjab Interior Ministry and she had approached the court through his lawyer Advocate Osama Tariq against the inclusion of name in the PCL.
