Lahore, Karachi among most polluted cities in world
Today Lahore's AQI was recorded at 229 and Karachi's at 181
Islamabad: Two cities of Pakistan including Lahore and Karachi are among the most polluted cities in the world.
According to the Air Quality Index (AQI), Lahore ranks first and Karachi ranks third among the most polluted cities in the world, while the air quality of both cities is extremely harmful to health.
Today Lahore's Air Quality Index was recorded at 229 and Karachi's at 181.
The second most polluted city in the world is Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, where the AQI was recorded at 200.
It is pertinent to note that an AQI between 151 and 200 is considered hazardous and 201 to 300 is considered extremely hazardous, while AQI above 301 is considered hazardous pollution.
