Pakistan, Mongolia agree to enhance cooperation
Shehbaz Sharif offered to send civil servants of Mongolia for training in institutes of Pakistan
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met the Prime Minister of Mongolia who came to attend the meeting of the heads of government of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
In the meeting held at the Prime Minister's House, the two leaders agreed to form a joint ministerial commission to increase cooperation in the fields of trade, tourism, agriculture and mining. They also agreed to establish an inter-parliamentary union to expand parliamentary relations.
The Prime Minister of Mongolia also planted a sapling in the Prime Minister House. Shehbaz Sharif offered to send civil servants of Mongolia for training in training institutes of Pakistan. He also congratulated the Prime Minister of Mongolia on his re-election.
Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that his visit is the beginning of a new chapter in the history of mutual respect, goodwill and brotherly relations between the two countries. Both countries are willing to work together to further strengthen mutual cooperation.
He further said that the two countries should explore new avenues of mutually beneficial cooperation with special focus on trade, investment, people-to-people and communication links.
