He asks, “How was the clarification issued without the original file being submitted?”

Islamabad: Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa on Saturday ordered Supreme Court staff to submit explanation after eight judges issued a second clarification in the reserved seats case without submitting the original case file.
The Chief Justice directed Deputy Registrar Mujahid Mahmood, Assistant Registrar Shahid Habib, and Webmaster Asim Javed to explain how the clarification was posted on the court’s website without following standard procedures.
CJP Isa questioned, “How was the clarification issued without the original file being submitted?”
The Deputy Registrar and Assistant Registrar have been formally notified and asked to provide details regarding the procedural oversight. The court has also sought an explanation from Webmaster Asim Javed on the matter.
A day earlier, eight Supreme Court judges issued a second clarification on their decision regarding reserved seats, stating that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) must enforce the court's ruling, despite the amendments made to the Elections Act, 2017.
