Chinese scientists develop fastest running robot
Robots are manufactured by the Chinese company 'Robot Era'

Beijing: Scientists have demonstrated a new humanoid robot that can run at speeds of more than 8 miles per hour, making it the fastest machine ever built.
However, the speed was only observed when the humanoid robot raced wearing separate shoes. A promotional video pits two of the STAR1 robots against each other in the Gobi Desert of northwest China.
The robots are manufactured by the Chinese company 'Robot Era'. One of the robots running in the desert was given a pair of shoes to see if the shoes helped the humanoid run faster than its opponent.
The researchers observed that the shoe-clad STAR1 robot ran across grasslands and gravel with the help of high-torque motors and Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms. Additionally, he jogged on paved roads and maintained his fast pace for 34 continuous minutes.
