Environmental samples of all districts of Karachi have tested positive for poliovirus


Karachi: The nationwide anti-polio campaign is going to start from Monday.
According to the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC), the anti-polio campaign will continue till November 3, during which more than 4.5 million children will be administered the polio vaccine.
According to the report, 41 polio cases have been reported across the country this year, of which 12 cases are from Sindh, while 1.6 million children will be vaccinated against polio across Sindh.
According to the Emergency Operation Center for Polio, 81,000 polio workers will participate in the anti-polio campaign, for which 19,000 security personnel will be deployed.
According to NEOC, the environmental samples of all districts of Karachi have tested positive for poliovirus.
