PM Shehbaz reaches Saudi Arabia to attend investment moot
Deputy Governor of Riyadh received the prime minister at the airport
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Saudi Arabia to participate in the plenary session of the 8th edition of the Future Investment Initiative.
Deputy Governor of Riyadh Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrehman bin Abdulaziz received the prime minister at the airport.
The prime minister will also address the three-day event.
The theme for this edition is ‘Infinite Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow.’
The delegates will ignite discussions on how investment can catalyse a prosperous and sustainable future.
According to the Foreign Office, the prime minister is accompanied by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Petroleum Minister Musaddik Malik, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal, Privatization Minister Abdul Aleem Khan and Information Minister Atta Tarar.
The Future Investment Initiative serves as an important platform for countries to showcase their economic strength, draw foreign investments, and engage in dialogue to shape a sustainable future.
The prime minister is expected to hold important bilateral talks with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman and other senior Saudi officials.
The two sides will discuss economic and strategic partnership between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and explore bilateral cooperation in the economic, energy, and defence domains.
