Judge Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh directs Elahi to appear on November 5

Lahore: The court directed former Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi to appear before the court in a money laundering case on the next date of hearing.
Judge Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh directed Elahi to appear on the next hearing on November 5. The case also implicates his son, former federal minister Moonis Elahi, and other associates.
The court already issued a red notice to Interpol for the arrest of Moonis Elahi, currently abroad, with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) confirming the notice is under Interpol's review.
Additionally, a non-bailable arrest warrant has been issued for Zaigham Abbas, a co-accused.
The FIA requested an extension on the asset seizure period for nine defendants, including Moonis Elahi.
The court asked for a detailed report on the matter and summoned the FIA Assistant Director to appear personally. Meanwhile, the court granted permanent exemption from attendance to Zara Elahi, another defendant.
