Another historic day for PSX, 100 Index up over 800 points
100 index gained 819 points to hit a new high of 91,683
Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) 100 Index is still witnessing a tremendous boom in business.
The third day of the trading week continues to see positive momentum in the PSX 100 Index and at one point the index gained 819 points to hit a new high of 91,683.
Yesterday, the 100 Index touched a new all-time high of 91,358 and closed at 90,864 with an increase of 518 points.
During the business day, the 100 Index remained in the band of 908 points, and deals of 600 million shares were settled at Rs28 billion in the market.
US Dollar
On the other hand, there has been a decline in the value of the dollar in the interbank.
On the third day of the business week, the US currency depreciated by Rs0.4 in the interbank market with the dollar trading at Rs277.70 from Rs 277.74 in the interbank market.
