Kala Shah Kaku: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Thursday initiated the distribution of 5,000 super seeders worth Rs5 billion for the farmers in Punjab.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam said that farmers are very close to her heart, the path of development of Punjab passes through fields. Her agriculture team is one step ahead. Without the development of the agriculture sector, progress is not possible.

She stated that smog is a dragon that raises its head, it will take many years to solve the smog problem but super seeder will reduce it. There will be no need to burn crop residues with a super seeder.

Maryam appreciated Marriyum Aurangzeb for working day and night to eliminate smog. She added that it will take many years to improve smog. If steps are taken in Indian Punjab also for smog, the people of both countries will benefit. We are taking every step to control smog that no one has taken before.

Chief Minister Punjab further said that real-time monitoring is going on. It is being seen in the control room from which chimney the black smoke is coming out. It will improve in the coming years.

“We have started the distribution of a lot of machinery which will increase further. The provided machinery is from Japan and costs up to Rs6 million. Farmers cannot buy expensive machinery; therefore, we are going to rent out machinery at zero profit with an investment of Rs40 billion,” she said.

Maryam Nawaz also stated that a series of blackmailing is going on in the market, people demand rent of their choice from the farmers, but they will provide machinery in every tehsil at zero profit. Agriculture malls are going to be built in four cities, where quality seeds, fertilizers and pesticides will be available under one roof.

Chief minister continued to say that there was a conspiracy to create misunderstanding between the government and the farmers. Whether they are in the government or outside they have a habit of mischief. Now they cannot say that they did not get the government. Whether they rule or not, they spread mischievous behavior.

She also stated that green tractors worth Rs3-4 million will be given to the farmers and the Punjab government will pay Rs1 million.
