Deadline for ECP to respond on petition against Khan's disqualification

Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has given time to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to submit its response to the petition against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan's five-year disqualification.

According to the details, a five-member larger bench headed by Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza heard the petition against the five-year disqualification of Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case.

During the hearing, the Election Commission's lawyer Shehzad Shaukat did not appear in the court. LHC granted time to the ECP lawyer to submit a reply.

Later, the High Court adjourned the proceedings on the petitions indefinitely. PTI counsel Barrister Ali Zafar had completed arguments at the previous hearing.
