Four terrorists killed in South Waziristan IBO
ISPR says operation was conducted on the reported presence of militants in the area
Rawalpindi: Security forces killed four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Sarwakai area of South Waziristan district.
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the operation was conducted on the reported presence of militants in the area.
During the conduct of operation, the terrorist's location was effectively engaged by own troops and as a result, four terrorists were killed.
Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area.
The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country, the military’s media wing said.
On October 30, security forces conducted an operation against the outlawed group in Bannu district, killing eight terrorists, while a major and two soldiers were martyred.
The operation was launched in Baka Khel, Bannu, based on intelligence reports. During an intense exchange of gunfire, eight terrorists were killed, and seven others were injured.
The operation was led by Major Atif Khalil, who, along with two soldiers, was martyred in the fierce battle.
