Air National Guard officer Jack Teixeira was sentenced to 15 years in prison

A US military officer who leaked classified Pentagon documents has been sentenced.
According to US media, Air National Guard officer Jack Teixeira was sentenced to 15 years in prison under the Espionage Act after being found guilty of leaking classified Pentagon documents.
According to US media, the officer had shared hundreds of classified documents related to Russia, the Ukraine war, and North Korea's nuclear program on social media.
22-year-old Jack Teixeira was arrested in April 2023 on charges of leaking classified Pentagon documents and was charged with six counts.
