He said: “I just want to enjoy myself. If retirement has to happen, it could be in a year or two. I'm going to be 40 soon”

Lisbon: Portugal's most popular footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, has announced his retirement plans.
Portugal booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Nations League with a 5-1 win over Poland on Friday.
With the victory, Ronaldo won his 132nd international victory, surpassing his former Real Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos, who has 131 victories for Spain.
Speaking to the media after the match, the 39-year-old, a five-time Ballon d'Or winner, spoke about his retirement plans.
He said: “I just want to enjoy myself. If retirement has to happen, it could be in a year or two. I'm going to be 40 soon”.
Ronaldo stated that he would continue this game as long as he enjoyed it passionately. The day he feels that he no longer has the passion, he will retire.
The 39-year-old Ronaldo further revealed that he has no plans to go into the coaching field and that he may consider other matters after retirement.
Ronaldo added that he does not see himself becoming a team manager, it's not in his plans. “My future is in other fields outside of football, time will tell what happens”.
Earlier, in an interview in August, 39-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo had indicated that he was not considering retiring early despite his contract with Saudi club Al-Nasr ending after this season.
