Islamabad: The US Mission in Pakistan has issued a security warning advising its personnel and US citizens to avoid the Serena Hotel Peshawar from November 27 to December 16, 2024.
The advisory stated that the warning is based on credible security information.
US citizens are advised to avoid the hotel and the surrounding area during this period and to reconsider their travel plans.
The advisory stated that US citizens are reminded of the travel advisory for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province due to terrorism effective September 10, 2024.
Those already in the area are advised to exercise extreme caution and to depart immediately if unexpectedly near the hotel.
The mission said that US citizens should review their security procedures, monitor local media, avoid revealing their identity, and remain aware of their surroundings.
The advisory recommends keeping identification cooperating with local authorities and reviewing travel reports.
