Islamabad: Senior advocate Salman Akram Raja has resigned from the position of the central Secretary General of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), sources claimed on Thursday.
Raja stepped down due to personal reasons and has sent his resignation to the party leadership, the sources added. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar has confirmed the resignation of Salman Akram Raja.
It is worth noting that the PTI founder had appointed senior lawyer Salman Akram Raja as the party's secretary general in September.
Salman Akram Raja had faced severe criticism for not playing an active role in PTI's recent protests.
