We are well prepared to give government a "tough time", he said.

PPP chairperson assumed that the government was afraid and did not have confidence in its own members, saying that their lawmakers would vote against them in forthcoming Senate elections.

The government wants to make the Senate elections controversial like the general elections, thought the PPP chairperson. And for the purpose the government was attempting to do through ordinances and references. He said that the "right to secret ballot" was offered to every Pakistani so that no one could hinder their right to elect their representative without fear of any reprisal or vengeance of any sort.

PPP Chairman further said that the selected government had hoped that they would also be given open concessions in the Senate elections like in the last general elections, but when Imran Khan saw that the PDM was ready to contest and his members were also angry, he first filed a judicial reference and then tried to impose a constitutional amendment bill through the committee without any discussion.

The PPP chairperson said that the Opposition will confront the presidential ordinance on the open Senate ballot. "If law for open balloting in Senate election passes then you should close the assemblies," he said. "If the entire legislation process has to be carried out through the president's office, then what is the use if assemblies?"

Bilawal while reacting to the DG ISPR's statement, that the armed forces is not involved in politics saying that he agreed with it 100 percent with the statement.

"This is what me and my party want," he replied to a question. "How can there be any contradiction in this?"
