Snowfall in hilly areas of Azad Kashmir paralyzes life
Life has been affected due to snowfall in the Astore district
Muzaffarabad: Cold weather has started to set in across the country. Intermittent snowfall continues in the upper areas of Azad Kashmir. The intensity of the cold has further increased after more than two feet of snow fell on the mountains.
Snowfall continues in the upper areas of Gilgit-Baltistan. Life has been affected due to snowfall in the Astore district. Snow also fell in Babusar Top, Nanga Parbat, and Batugah in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Meanwhile, the severe cold wave continues in various cities of Punjab including Lahore. In Balochistan, water froze in pipes due to severe cold across the province including Quetta, Kalat, Chaman, Qila Abdullah, Pishin, and Ziarat.
Gilgit-Skardu Road has been closed due to landslides, while cold weather has also arrived in Karachi and the mercury has dropped to 11 degrees Celsius.
