According to report, PTI got 18.032 million votes in National Assembly
Islamabad: The Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) released a detailed report on the votes cast to political parties in the general elections 2024.
According to the report, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) got 18.032 million votes in the National Assembly constituencies, and 15.384 million votes in the provincial assembly constituencies. PTI got 88 seats in the National Assembly and 201 seats in the provincial assemblies.
The FAFAN report stated that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stood second in number of votes. The PML-N got 14.121 million votes in the National Assembly constituencies, and 12.626 million votes in the provincial assembly constituencies. The PML-N won 75 seats in the National Assembly and 156 seats in the provincial assemblies.
According to the report, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) won 54 seats in the National Assembly constituencies with 8.235 million votes, and it scored 109 seats in the provincial assemblies with 8.155 million votes.
Independent candidates won seven million votes in the National Assembly constituencies, and more than three million votes in the provincial constituencies. They won 13 national and one provincial seat.
FAFEN says that Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) is the fourth-largest party in the country in terms of votes, but it could not win a single seat in the National Assembly. It got one seat in the Punjab Assembly.
The fifth-largest party in terms of votes was Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) who won six seats in the National Assembly and 16 seats in the Provincial Assembly by getting four percent of the votes.
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) was the sixth largest party with two percent of the votes for the National Assembly, but could not win any seats. Jamaat-e-Islami won three seats in the Provincial Assembly with three percent of the votes.
The report stated that in the recent general elections, 61.287 million votes were cast for 265 seats of the National Assembly, out of which 1.768 million votes were rejected.
60.235 million votes were cast for 590 seats of the Provincial Assembly, out of which 1.839 million votes were lost. The highest number of votes were rejected in Punjab, and lowest rate of rejection was in Balochistan.
