Earlier, 12 convicts were transferred to Kot Lakhpat Jail Lahore


Lahore: The process of transferring the convicts convicted by the military court involved in the May 9 tragedy to the Central Jail Lahore is underway.
The Military Court has transferred 11 convicts to the Central Jail Lahore including Muhammad Imran Mehboob, Ali Shah, Jan Muhammad, Zia-ur-Rehman, Ali Iftikhar, Abdul Hadi, Dawood Khan, Fahim Haider, Muhammad Hashir, Muhammad Ashiq Khan, and Muhammad Bilal.
Earlier, 12 out of 25 convicts were transferred to Kot Lakhpat Jail Lahore and now another 11 have been transferred to Lahore Central Jail.
It is pertinent to note that the Field General Court Martial sentenced 25 convicts involved in the May 9 tragedy.
According to the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), the Field General Court Martial sentenced 25 accused in the first phase. These sentences were handed down after examining all the evidence and completing the appropriate legal proceedings. The convicted accused were provided with all the legal rights to fulfill the legal requirements.
