Army Chief extended heartfelt Christmas greetings to the Christian community


Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir said that the Christian community is a source of pride and strength for the nation.
According to the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Department of the Pakistan Army, Asim Munir attended the Christmas ceremony at St Joseph Catholic Cathedral Church where the Christian community warmly welcomed him upon his arrival at the church.
The ISPR said that the Army Chief extended heartfelt Christmas greetings to the Christian community across the country and expressed solidarity with the Christian community.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, COAS acknowledged the contribution of minorities and the Christian community in the country’s cultural, social, economic, and national development.
Speaking on the occasion, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir said that the Christian community is a source of pride and strength for the nation.
Army Chief General Asim Munir stated: “We should reiterate our collective resolve to transform Pakistan into the peaceful and prosperous country envisioned by the Quaid-e-Azam. His ideals of freedom, equality, and religious tolerance guide the nation to meet challenges. All citizens should work tirelessly for this”.
He further said that the Quaid-e-Azam's ideals inspire us to promote internal stability, from protecting territorial integrity to promoting internal stability. The Quaid-e-Azam's far-sighted leadership and unwavering determination paved the way for the building of Pakistan.
