Google Wallet set to come to Pakistan
Google Wallet is being introduced in 16 countries, including Pakistan

California: Google is preparing to introduce its mobile payment system Google Wallet (also known as Google Pay) in Pakistan.
Google is likely to introduce this payment system in Pakistan in January 2025, which will be a significant development in terms of digital payments.
The company made this announcement on its developer page and said that Google Wallet is being introduced in 16 countries, including Pakistan.
Along with this announcement, it was also informed that this service is being launched in Egypt, Pakistan, and Venezuela in January 2025.
What is Google Wallet?
Google Wallet was launched in 2011 and is a digital wallet that allows users to securely store their debit or credit card details while they can also make payments directly from their Android phones.
Boarding passes, event tickets, ID cards, and more can be stored in Google Wallet.
That is, everything you carry in your traditional wallet can be stored in Google Wallet.
To use it, you need to install the Google Wallet app.
After installing the app, you need to log in to your Google account and then add a payment method such as a credit or debit card.
Once you have added at least one card to your account, you can make mobile payments in stores through Google Wallet.
How secure is this service?
Google Wallet is a more secure service than using a credit or debit card.
Payments made through it are encrypted, meaning that the service sends payment information using a unique code for each purchase.
Even if someone gains access to this data, it is of no use to them because it does not contain debit or credit details.
Through this, users can make contactless payments from their smartphones, meaning they don't even need to carry their cards with them, which eliminates the risk of them being lost or stolen.
