Judge Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh issued written order of previous hearing
Lahore: The Special Central Court ordered to make efforts to re-arrest former Federal Minister Chaudhry Moonis Elahi in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) money laundering case.
Judge Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh of the Special Central Court in Lahore issued a written order of the previous hearing.
The written order states that efforts should be made again to arrest PTI leader Chaudhry Moonis Elahi and co-accused Muhammad Jibran from abroad, and a report on the steps taken to arrest them should be presented at the next hearing.
The court order said that the head of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) did not appear in court due to going to perform Umrah. Pervaiz Elahi filed a petition for acquittal, and issued a notice on his plea, arguments have been sought from the parties.
The Special Central Court further said in the written order that the court will hear the case further on January 20.
