Over 30 shops burnt in Karachi furniture market fire
Fire was extinguished with help of six fire tenders
Karachi: A fire broke out in a furniture market in Gulistan-e-Jauhar in Karachi, destroying furniture that was worth a lot.
According to fire brigade officials, a fire broke out in a furniture market near Gulistan-e-Jauhar Kamran Chowrangi. Initially, a fire tender was dispatched. The intensity of the fire was so high that flames could be seen from afar.
Officials said that the fire was extinguished with the help of six fire tenders.
Fire Officer Zafar Khan said more than 30 shops were burnt due to the fire. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
Shopkeepers and residents controlled the fire by removing some furniture from the shops engulfed in flames.
