Islamabad: Senior diplomat Shafqat Ali Khan has been appointed as the Foreign Office Spokesperson, reportedly.
According to media reports, Shafqat Khan is currently posted as Additional Foreign Secretary for Europe. He has served as Ambassador to Russia and has also served as Pakistani Ambassador to Poland.
It is pertinent to note that before Shafqat Ali Khan, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch was the Foreign Office Spokesperson and she assumed the post of Foreign Office Spokesperson in November 2022.
In August last year, news also emerged that Mumtaz Zahra Baloch had been approved to be appointed as Pakistan’s Ambassador to France.
