Prosecutor told court that none of accused had been interrogated yet

Islamabad: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad has extended the interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Omar Ayub, Zartaj Gul, and others in the D-Chowk protest case.
ATC Islamabad Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain heard the interim bail applications of Omar Ayub, Zartaj Gul, Sher Afzal Marwat, Ali Bukhari, and Shoaib Shaheen.
During the hearing, Prosecutor Chaudhry Zahid Asif told the court that none of the accused had been interrogated yet.
The judge inquired whether accused Zartaj Gul had come. She came to the rostrum and requested the court for police to interrogate her there. The judge remarked: “This is a court, not a police station. I will issue an order in this regard as far as you are concerned”.
Later, the court extended the interim bail of PTI leaders Omar Ayub, Zartaj Gul and others and adjourned the hearing till February 7.
It is pertinent to note that cases have been registered against the accused in Ramna, Secretariat, Margala, Karachi Company, and Kohsar police stations.
