Finance Ministry prepares budget schedule for new fiscal year

Islamabad: The Federal Ministry of Finance has prepared the budget schedule for the new fiscal year.

The Federal Ministry of Finance prepared the budget schedule for the new fiscal year and has proposed to present the federal budget for the next fiscal year in the first week of June.

The Ministry of Finance proposed to finalize all budget documents by the end of May 2025 and the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting is proposed to be held in the second week of May.

The Annual Planning Coordination Committee meeting for the new fiscal year budget is proposed to be held in the first week of May. The Budget Strategy Paper is proposed to be approved by April 18, 2025, while the Budget Review Committee meeting is proposed to be held from February 11 to 28.

It has also been proposed to submit the budget estimate for foreign exchange by May 7.
