Commission constituted to fix Nasla Tower woes, will abide by SC orders: CM Sindh
Karachi: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah Friday said his government would abide by all directives issued by higher courts, but the government is also having an aspect of human rights.

Speaking to reporters, he said as Bani Gala was regularized the human aspect needed to be kept in mind regarding Nasla Tower.
“The Nasla Tower issue took place when the Pakistan Peoples Party was not in the government. But the government is dealing the problems of tower residents,” Shah said.
The CM said the building control authority had limited liability in the Nasla Tower issue.
He made it clear that there is no justification of demolishing the building, adding the Sindh cabinet has approved to for a commission comprising serving judges and well-reputed officers to decide the fate of tower residents.
“The commission will identify wrongdoings and people involved in illegal activities linking to the construction,” the CM said.
The commission, Shah said, would decide whether to pay fine or erase the building.
He further said the commission would identify the government officials involved in illegalities.
About the meeting of the parliamentary committee on the national security, Murad Ali Shah said the PPP was not in favour of in-camera meeting and that the Prime minister should had participated in session.
On June 19, the Supreme Court had directed the builders of the 15-storey Nasla Tower to refund the amount to the registered buyers of residential and commercial units within three months.
On June 16, a 3-judge SC bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed had ordered the demolition of the multi-storey building for encroaching on the land meant for a service road.
