Protests is against non-relief of electricity bills to public
Lahore: Following the call of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, there will be a protest demonstration on Mall Road on January 17.
Addressing a press conference at the Lahore Press Club, Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore Ameer Ziauddin Ansari said that a protest demonstration will be held on Masjid Shuhada Mall Road after Friday prayers.
He further said that there will be protests across the country against the non-relief of electricity bills to the public.
It is pertinent to note that Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman announced a nationwide protest on January 17 against the non-reduction of electricity prices a few days ago.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, JI Ameer Hafiz Naeem said that the Prime Minister is giving good news about the improvement of the stock exchange index, but why have the prices of petrol and food items not controlled. The economic situation is getting worse and worse.
