Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Gwadar Airport, equipped with international facilities, is a great example of Pak-China friendship.
Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction over the start of flights from Gwadar Airport and said that by the grace of Allah, another milestone has been crossed today.
The Prime Minister stated that the activation of Gwadar Airport is an important step towards promoting communication links in the region. It will fulfill the dream of development of Pakistan and the region through CPEC.
Shehbaz Sharif added that CPEC started during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif, and the joint commitment of the Chinese President and Nawaz Sharif for development has come closer to being fulfilled.
The Prime Minister further said that Gwadar Airport, equipped with international facilities, is a great example of Pak-China friendship, the entire nation including me is grateful to the Chinese government.
It is pertinent to note that Gwadar International Airport has become operational from today and the first flight has also landed.
