Hoshab: Chairman China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Lt. General (Retd.) Asim Saleem Bajwa has said that Gwadar port and the economic corridor are the top priorities of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
While addressing media in Hoshab, Asim Saleem Bajwa said that CPEC projects will end decades old sense of deprivation in the people of Balochistan.
“We are focusing on improving infrastructure under CPEC and construction of roads is our priority,” he said adding that Rs600 billion have been set aside for Southern Balochistan.
Chairman CPEC Authority further said that the main issue faced by Balochistan was of connectivity and now under CPEC but construction of roads will largely solve the commuting issues.
“Work is underway for a 300 MW power plant in Gwadar. There are about 200 schemes in the entire package. Prime Minister approved that South Balochistan would be linked with the national grid,” he adde.
