Not less than 50,000 deserving minority families will get financial assistance worth Rs10,500 every three months
Lahore: Pakistan's first-ever Chief Minister's Minority Card Programme was formally launched in Lahore today.
Addressing the launching ceremony, Chief Minister of the Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that under this programme, 50,000 deserving minority families will get financial assistance worth Rs10,500 every three months.
She said that the number of deserving families will be increased to seventy-five thousand while the amount of financial assistance will also be enhanced in future.
The Chief Minister said that the Punjab Government received one lac application for this program. She said that the budget for the minorities affairs department has been raised twofold.
