25,000 people have been ordered to evacuate and 500 prisoners have been transferred to other prisons


Los Angeles: A new forest fire broke out north of Los Angeles, California, in the US state of California.
According to the news agency, flames are burning in the mountains near Castaic Lake. The fire is spreading rapidly, due to which 25,000 people have been ordered to evacuate and 500 prisoners have been transferred to other prisons.
Due to stormy winds, 5,000 acres of land were engulfed in fire in two hours. The Los Angeles County Fire Department and the Angeles National Forest are busy extinguishing the fire.
According to the news agency, helicopters and small planes are also participating in the firefighting efforts.
It is pertinent to note that Los Angeles is already dealing with the devastation of terrible fires.
Efforts are still underway to control the fires that have been burning in various locations in Los Angeles since January 7. The fires have caused widespread destruction, burning about 40,000 acres and killing at least 27 people.
