Lahore: A woman was killed and six others injured in a firing incident outside the Lahore's Camp Jail on Saturday, GNN reported.

The injured were rushed to the Services Hospital. The incident took place on Main Ferozpure Road.
Police said the victim identified as 45-year-old Mumtaz Bibi had reached the Camp Jail to receive her husband Zulfiqar Ali who was released from the jail.

Unidentified car-occupiers intercepted their rickshaw and opened fire. The firing left Mumtaz, Zulfiqar, and their daughter Iqra, rickshaw driver Ghulam Rasool and three passers-by with multiple gunshot wounds.
The bullets fired by the suspects also damaged rickshaw. The suspects fled the scene.
Preliminary police investigations show that Mumtaz's husband was imprisoned in a murder case. Zulfiqar suspected involvement of complainant Tanveer and Azhar Khan in the firing incident.
