Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis was named Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year


Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year.
Pakistani opener Saim Ayub, England fast bowler Gus Atkinson, Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis, and West Indies’ Shimron Joseph were nominated for the ICC Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year award.
The ICC announced the Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year on Sunday.
According to the ICC, Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis was named the Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year.
Kamindu Mendis scored a total of 1,451 runs in 32 matches across all formats in 2024.
The 26-year-old Kamindu Mendis scored 1,049 runs in just 9 Test matches in 2024, with five centuries. His best score was 182 runs not out.
