Verdict said that Nazar Abbas did not intentionally commit contempt of court

Islamabad: The Supreme Court has delivered a reserved verdict in the contempt of court case against Additional Registrar Judicial Nazar Abbas.
A two-member bench comprising Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Aqeel Abbasi delivered the verdict and discharged the Additional Registrar of the Supreme Court from the contempt of court case and sent the case to the Chief Justice for a full court.
The verdict said that Nazar Abbas did not intentionally commit contempt of court, therefore, the show cause notice of contempt of court against him is withdrawn.
The court said in its verdict that the Practice and Procedure Committee and the Judges Constitutional Committee ignored the judicial order. The matter is sent to the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) for contempt of court proceedings against both the judges' committees.
The bench also said in its verdict that the Administrative Committee cannot withdraw the case. The Constitutional and Judges Committee violated the court order, and the CJP should constitute a full court on this matter.
