PECA Amendment Act 2025 applicable, gazette notification issued

Islamabad: The PECA Amendment Act 2025 has come into force and the gazette notification has also been issued.

After the notification was issued by the Law Ministry, the PECA Act became officially implemented, and the notification of the Digital Nation Bill was also issued.

It is pertinent to note that yesterday, President Asif Ali Zardari signed the PECA Amendment Bill 2025 and the Digital Nation Bill 2025, after which both the bills became laws.

The government had first got the amendment bill approved by the National Assembly and after that, the Upper House also approved the amendment bill, after which it was sent to the President for his signature.
