Police arrest, register FIR against officer for torturing citizen inside Police Station
Faisalabad Police on Sunday arrested and registered an FIR against Asistant Sub Inspector (ASI) after his video of torturing a citizen inside a Police Station surfaced on social media.

According to the details, an immediate action was taken by Faisalabad City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Sohail Ch and ASI was suspended.

Punjab Inspector General Police (IGP) Inam Ghani also took notice of this unwarranted act and directed Faisalabad CPO to register the case and arrest the officer involved in the criminal act.

Following the direction of IGP , ASI was arrested and criminal case was registered against him.
Faisalabad Police Chief said that, "No police official is above the law and is accountable for any illegal act on duty. Legal as well as departmental action has been initiated against the officer."
