This week, 13 judges will now hear cases instead of 10


Islamabad: The new judges' duty roster of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for this week has been released. Three new judges transferred from other high courts will also be available to hear cases from today.
This week, 13 judges will now hear cases instead of 10. 13 single benches and six division benches will also be available and a new seniority list of judges has also been released through the duty roster.
According to the judges' roster, the first division bench will consist of Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Inam Amin Minhas.
The second division bench consists of newly transferred judges, including Justice Sarfaraz Dogar and Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro.
The third division bench consists of Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan.
The fourth division bench consists of Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb and Justice Saman Riffat Imtiaz.
Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri and Justice Azam Khan have been included in the fifth division bench, while Justice Babar Sattar and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir have been included in the sixth division bench.
The duty roster has been issued according to the seniority of the three judges who came after the transfer, according to which Justice Sarfaraz Dogar has been included in Bench II. Earlier, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani had the post of Senior Peon Judge and Bench II, but now he has been included in Bench III.
Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro, who came from the Sindh High Court (SHC), will have Bench IX, while Justice Muhammad Asif, who came from the Balochistan High Court (BHC), has been assigned Bench XII.
