Islamabad: The birth rate in Pakistan has declined in the year 2024, the United Nations reported.
According to the United Nations World Fertility Report, the birth rate in Pakistan has decreased to 3.6 percent in the year 2024, which was up to 6 percent in 1994.
The report states that the birth rate in 2023 was 3.2, which is 1.88 percent lower than in 2022.
According to the report, 1.8 billion people living in 63 countries have entered the phase of population decline in 2024.
The report emphasizes the implementation of effective laws to ban child marriage, protect the rights of women and girls, and ensure full reproductive health facilities.
