Three cops martyred, three injured in attack on Karak police post

Karak: Three policemen were martyred and five were injured in an attack by miscreants on a police post in Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Miscreants attacked a police post in Bahadur Khel in Karak, in which two policemen were martyred and six were injured.

The DPO said that drivers Naqeeb and Adnan were among those martyred in the attack.

According to officials, the miscreants attacked with heavy weapons and fled after the police retaliated.

According to the DPO, four injured policemen were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, where another policeman, Taimur Hayat, later succumbed to his injuries, while three injured policemen have been referred to Peshawar, and the condition of all three is said to be critical.

The DPO said that the police have launched a search operation in the area.
