Accused collected a total of Rs5.137 million


Gujranwala: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Gujranwala has arrested two accused including a human smuggler involved in the Greece boat accident.
According to the FIA, the arrested accused include Ansar Mahmood and Muhammad Awais. Accused Ansar was arrested from Narowal while accused Awais was arrested from Gujranwala. Ansar is involved in the Greece boat accident.
The arrested accused is part of a gang involved in human smuggling. Other accused of the gang have been arrested before. The accused, with the connivance of other accomplices, collected Rs4.5 million to send the victim Ahsan Ali to Europe. He kept the victim in safe houses in Libya. Later, he tried to forcefully send him from Libya to Greece by boat.
According to the FIA, the victim Ahsan Ali, who belonged to Jalalpur Jatan, died in the boat accident. Accused Muhammad Awais collected millions of rupees by luring the complainant with a job in Canada. The accused collected a total of Rs5.137 million, failed to send the complainant abroad and went into hiding.
