(Web Desk): The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted mostly cold and dry weather across the country for the next 24 hours, with very cold conditions in hilly areas during the morning and night.
Light rain and thunderstorms, along with light snow over the hills, are expected in isolated areas of Kashmir, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The weather is being influenced by continental air over most parts of the country, while a shallow westerly wave is affecting the northern areas. Over the past 24 hours, cold and dry weather prevailed nationwide, with very cold conditions in hilly regions.
Rain and snow occurred in isolated areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Murree, Galiyat, and nearby places. Leh recorded the lowest temperature in the country on Wednesday, reaching -8 degrees Celsius.
