Rawalpindi: Security forces killed 12 Khawarij during an operation in the Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan, and Lance Naik was martyred, reported the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR).

According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, Lance Naik Muhammad Ibrahim was martyred while fighting bravely in a fierce exchange of fire.
The ISPR stated that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed Khawarij. They were involved in attacks on security forces and innocent civilians.
According to the Pakistan Army, a sanitization operation is underway in the area to eliminate other possible Khawarij.
