Islamabad: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Board of Directors has approved an increase in the salaries of employees.
According to the spokesperson, a meeting of the PIA Board of Directors was held in which in principle approval was given for a cadre-wise change in the salaries of PIA employees in line with inflation.
The last increase in the salaries of PIA employees was made four years ago, after which the inflation rate had made the conditions of the employees tense.
According to the spokesperson, the total number of PIA employees has decreased to less than 7,000, which is decreasing rapidly. The increase in salaries will help in retaining the experienced people in the organization.
