Rawalpindi: Major General Ibrahim Hilmy, Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) of the Maldives Armed Forces, met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Friday, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the meeting, they discussed mutual interests, including defence cooperation and regional security. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the strong relationship between Pakistan and the Maldives, emphasizing shared views on regional issues.
The two military leaders agreed to work together to strengthen and improve bilateral ties, focusing on enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual concern. The visiting CDF praised the professionalism, dedication, and contributions of the Pakistan Army to regional stability.
