Punjab CM, federal ministers, PCB Chairman and players of national cricket team attended event

Lahore: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the newly revamped Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Friday evening ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The event was attended by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, federal ministers, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, and players of the national cricket team.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has invited popular singers Ali Zafar, Arif Lohar, and Aima Baig to perform at the opening of the newly revamped Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The event will include a musical performance followed by a spectacular drum and fireworks display, with a stunning light show to add to the excitement.
The stadium has undergone major upgrades, including brighter LED lights, two large score screens, and imported seating in all enclosures for better viewing. Around 10,000 new seats have been added, increasing the stadium’s capacity, and new hospitality boxes have been built for an improved experience for both players and spectators.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praised the team's hard work and dedication, noting that the venue now meets international standards, offering cricket fans a world-class experience.
Gaddafi Stadium will host the opening match of the tri-nation ODI series on February 8 and will also be the venue for four Champions Trophy matches, including the second semi-final.
