Gulf states reject Trump's plan to expel Palestinians from Gaza

Cairo, Riyadh: Arab countries have rejected US President Donald Trump's plan to evacuate Palestinians from Gaza, with Saudi Arabia, the Arab League, Jordan, Egypt, Syria, and other countries outraged.

Egypt has announced a comprehensive plan to rebuild Gaza without displacing the Palestinians. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry says it is looking forward to cooperating with US President Donald Trump to reach a comprehensive and just peace in the region.

Jordanian King Abdullah said that in his meeting with US President Trump, he reiterated his rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and stressed the basis of a two-state solution. He said that they look to the US and stakeholders to maintain the Gaza ceasefire.

The Jordanian Foreign Minister stated that the Arab-Egyptian plan is to rebuild Gaza without displacing the Palestinian people.

The Saudi cabinet, chaired by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, also rejected the forced eviction of Palestinians. The cabinet condemned Israeli statements and called the two-state solution the basis for lasting peace in the region.

On the other hand, Syrian interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa said in an interview with British media that evicting Palestinians from their land would be a serious crime. No power in the world can evict Palestinians from their homeland. It is not wise for the US president to lead a campaign to force Palestinians to leave their land.

It is pertinent to note that in the past few days, US President Donald Trump had announced the occupation of Gaza.

Donald Trump had said that the US will occupy the Gaza Strip and own it, which aims to bring stability to the region and create thousands of jobs.
