(Web Desk): A gang of four brothers involved in stealing car tires and selling them online has been caught in Lahore.
Lahore police apprehended a group of four brothers who were stealing car tires. From the arrested thieves, 39 tires were recovered. The four brothers had sold hundreds of tires to dealers in various cities. Based on their identification, several dealers from other cities have also been taken into custody.
The Superintendent of Police (SP) of Model Town stated that this tire theft gang would steal tires and rims from vehicles parked outside homes and then flee. Often, the brothers would steal all the tires and leave the cars standing on bricks.
He further mentioned that dealers buying the stolen tires from them have been arrested from different cities.
The four brothers used online apps to sell the stolen tires. Reports of tires being stolen from citizens’ cars led the police to launch an investigation. After extensive efforts, the gang was eventually tracked down, and all the suspects are now in custody.
