President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the Turkish President at Nur Khan Airbase


Islamabad: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a high-level delegation, and the Turkish First Lady have arrived in Islamabad.
According to the statement, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has arrived in Pakistan on a two-day official visit. Renowned Turkish businessmen are also accompanying the Turkish President.
The statement said that President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the Turkish President at Nur Khan Airbase.
A 21-gun salute was also presented in his honor upon President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s arrival. Schoolchildren dressed in traditional attire welcomed the Turkish President.

In addition, a military band also traditionally welcomed the Turkish President, while Pakistan Air Force aircraft provided an aerial reception in Pakistani airspace.
According to the statement, JF-17 aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force escorted the Turkish President’s plane to Islamabad.
It is pertinent to note that President Erdogan will also meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari.
Shehbaz Sharif and President Erdogan will co-chair the Pak-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting. Several important agreements and MoUs are also expected to be signed.
Prime Minister said that under the leadership of President Erdogan, Pak-Turkey brotherly relations are becoming stronger. During President Erdogan’s historic visit, we are eager to take these strong relations to further heights.
